A little about us

Quintessential Knits yarn shop is located in beautiful downtown Duvall, Washington owned by a mother and daughter team who bought the shop from former owners, Judy and Debbie, in December 2025. We believe that knitting, crocheting, spinning, weaving, and all other fiber arts and crafts are an essential part of not just what we do but who we are. Creating is an expression of the passion we share with fiber artists and creatives everywhere. Our goal is to provide our clients with beautiful, natural yarns as well as a friendly, comfortable atmosphere for shopping and learning.  We offer classes and have free knit/crochet/stitch/spin group times. Customers have described the yarn shop as “lovely, cozy and welcoming". They also love our varied selection of natural yarn, including a section of strictly plant-based fibers for those allergic to animal fibers or just need plant-based fibers for a project. We're all about color and softness and welcome you to come in and explore, touch, and feel your way through teh shop. We want to offer you an environment that will nurture your creativity resulting in fabulous handmade items to be enjoyed for years to come.  Our yarn and fiber include many local hand dyed brands including BJS Fiberworks. Joining our local hand dyed favorites is Studio Q, a collection of yarn dyed exclusively for our shop. We also have some custom-dyed shop exclusive colors as well. Our selections are constantly changing and growing.  We feel privileged to have met many wonderful people who share our love of fiber.
