SUMMER CAMP and so much more!

Summer knitting and crochet are in full swing here in the beautiful PNW! The sunshine is so nice for knitting while walking on the trail, if you’ve honed that skill! (I’m still working on it.) We have some cute wrist bags for holding your project while you walk. Taking a road trip? Come grab a project to knit/crochet on the way! And of course, grab a merit badge to show all the things you have mastered, or at least tried!

Our summer hours remain the same Monday – Friday 10-3 and Saturday 10-2.

Bored kids or teens at home??? Introduce them to a whole world of color and creativity in an informal and friendly environment! We are offering "Learn to Knit or Crochet" summer camps, starting July 18, July 25, August 1 and August 8. The week-long camps are open to ages 9 and above. Each week will be limited to 6 participants. They will take place at the yarn shop, Monday through Friday, 9 am to 12 noon. The camps are aimed at absolute beginners as well as those finding their way through their first patterns and wanting to advance their skills. The price is $190 for the week (15 hours). The price includes a skein of Malabrigo yarn and a compatible set of circular needles or a crochet hook (approx. $30 total value). Sign up on our website now or call the shop to reserve a place!

Coming in late August we will be closing for two weeks. We will be closed from the 22nd of August until September 5, Labor Day. We will start regular hours again on September 6th. On our return in September we have some fun things in the works!

We have a Knit Along and a Crochet Along planned. New classes will be on the calendar, I know many of you have been asking. We also have a day of fiber fun in the works, it will include wheel spinning and drop spindle demos, making batts, new fiber selections and more! Knitting in the park, and a Makers Market are a couple more of the events on the calendar, not to mention a couple of Trunk Shows: Trilogy Yarns and BJS Fiber Creations! We will be posting a calendar of events later this month so you can plan ahead! We’re very excited for all the yarn and fiber fun happening at Quintessential Knits! Stay Tuned!
