MAY 30 - Yarn Swap and Collection!

Time to spring clean your stash! Bring yarns to Quintessential Knits on Saturday, 5/30 from 10am - 3pm to swap or donate. There will be tables set out for people to place their swaps on and people will be welcome to peruse the offerings. The only requirement is that it must be a full ball/skein/hank of yarn WITH a clear label for allergy purposes. Sorry, no scraps this time. But other than that, all yarn is allowed. Homespun is welcome, with a written or printed label that outlines fiber content and weight. Notions are also welcome for swapping as well. Any and all yarn and notions left over will be donated to the Sno-Valley Senior Center for them to use in crafting projects for their residents.During this event, we will also be collecting yarn and notions for a customer who teaches midwives in Africa how to knit. Requested for donation:

  • DK or Worsted Weight Yarn

  • Yarn must be soft enough for babies (but fiber content is not important, just softness)

  • Size 8 circular needles preferred but will accept up to a size 10

  • Stitch Markers

If you would like to contribute but don't have anything to give, we will have various offerings available for sale that can be added to the collection box for her.
